Browse our large collection of Islamic calligraphy posters. Islamic calligraphy is the fundamental element of Islamic art. Our collection consists of calligraphies of suras from the Holy Quran or dhikr Alhamdulillah, SubhanAllah, Allahu Akbar, etc. These Arabic calligraphy posters will add a traditional and Islamic touch to your walls and will encourage you to invoke the name of Allah.

Different styles of Islamic calligraphy

Our collection of Islamic calligraphy posters is composed of several calligraphy styles. Islamic calligraphy has developed into three main categories: Kufic calligraphy, Nashk calligraphy and Thuluth calligraphy. Kufic calligraphy is one of the oldest forms of Arabic calligraphy. It takes its name from the city of Kufa in Iraq. Kufic calligraphy is square in shape while Nashk calligraphy is more rounded. The latter is the most common form of Arabic calligraphy (the suras of the Holy Qur'an are usually written in Nashk calligraphy). Thuluth calligraphy is similar to Nashk calligraphy but the letters are written in a much larger and more decorative way. This calligraphy is often used to write the titles of the suras of the Holy Quran. It is also represented on the flag of Saudi Arabia.

Quranic suras in the form of calligraphy

The evolution of Islamic calligraphy is strongly linked to the Holy Quran. Calligraphy allows, among other things, to represent in an artistic way the verses of the Koran or the names of Allah. However, one must always keep in mind that calligraphy has for main objective to transmit a text even if it is in a decorative way. At Islam Posters, you will find calligraphies of many suras and verses such as Ayat Al Kursi, Surah Al Nas, Surah Al Falaq, and many others.

Posters of Arabic calligraphy

We have developed a wide selection of traditional Islamic calligraphy posters. These posters will help you amplify your Muslim faith by encouraging you to recite verses from the Holy Qur'an and evoke the name of Allah. The word calligraphy comes from the ancient Greek and originally means beautiful writing.
